The AHPGS received recognition status from the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) in October 2023 for a period of 10 years. It is the first and currently the only agency to receive this for the countries Germany and Austria. Agencies with Recognition Status are agencies that are recognized by the WFME for compliance with international standards in the accreditation of medical education programs. The procedure is comparable to program accreditation procedures. The decision is made by the AHPGS Accreditation Commission.
